- Flex courses may provide students with the opportunity to meet in-person on campus, on the synchronous days and times already scheduled, if 条件允许.

- 估算credits are developmental courses for students who need to prepare themselves for college-level work. They count toward financial aid requirements but do not count toward earned college credits or GPA.

- Classes are taught live from one campus location and broadcast to one or more additional campus locations. Cameras and microphones at all sites allow faculty and learners to see and talk with each other.
Students will develop a higher level of clinical performance for a student moving from the freshman to sophomore nursing level during this course. Students participate in a supervised medical-surgical clinical experience in an acute health care agency setting with an instructor present. Students will further develop the National League of Nursing (NLN) Associate Degree (AD) competencies (professional behaviors, 沟通, 评估, clinical decision making, caring interventions, teaching and learning, collaborating and managing care, the three roles of the AD nurse (provider of care, manager of care and member within the discipline, and Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) competencies. The student will provide safe, 整体, patient-centered care across the life span of diverse cultures. The clinical experience emphasizes individuals experiencing simple/acute health disruptions in biophysical and psychosocial dimensions. 学生的知识, 技能, and expertise will increase in all aspects of nursing health 评估: obtaining health histories; performing physical 评估s; recognizing normal 评估 findings and deviations from the normal; and recording accurate, 简洁的, 清晰的数据. Emphasis is on performing systematic health 评估s of adults, incorporating developmental principles and psychological, 社会学, and cultural aspects. To a lesser degree, child 评估 is integrated into the course. Laboratory for integration of theory and skill mastery is included.
